Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is binge eating disorder (BED)?
BED involves recurring episodes of eating unusually large amounts of food in a short time, often followed by intense feelings of shame and guilt.
Is binge eating disorder just about overeating?
No—BED is about using food to cope with overwhelming emotions or stress, and it’s not about willpower or discipline.
Will treatment focus on weight loss?
No. Our approach is body-neutral and weight-inclusive, centered on healing your relationship with food and your body—not on dieting.
Do you provide nutrition counseling?
Yes! Our registered dietitians offer compassionate, shame-free nutrition counseling to help you find more balance and trust in your body.
Do you work with trauma, ADHD, or other co-occurring concerns?
Yes. Many individuals with BED also live with trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, or neurodivergence. Our team is trauma-informed and inclusive, supporting the whole person.
Can I work with you if I’m outside of Fort Collins?
Absolutely! We offer telehealth services across Colorado, so you can access care wherever you are.

Do you take insurance?
Yes, we accept most private insurance plans as well as TRICARE, TRICARE West, Medicaid, Medicare, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Colorado Access, and CHP+. For those without insurance, we also offer sliding fee scales to ensure our services remain accessible to everyone in our community.
