About Us
A Holistic, Trauma-Informed Counseling Center Supporting the Whole Person
Come in. Stay a while. Relax.

Beyond the Mirror Counseling & Wellness is a holistic family counseling center in Fort Collins, Colorado, offering compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
We believe therapy works best when people feel safe, understood, and respected. You are more than your symptoms or a diagnosis. Our therapists take time to understand the full context of your life — your experiences, relationships, nervous system, and environment — so care is personalized rather than one-size-fits-all.
Our approach to counseling is integrative and relational. Mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, addiction, ADHD, and autism often develop within a broader life story. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, we work collaboratively to identify patterns, strengths, and underlying needs while supporting sustainable, meaningful change.
Therapy at Beyond the Mirror blends evidence-based practices with mindfulness, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and practical skill-building. Sessions are paced thoughtfully and guided by your goals, readiness, and lived experience.
We are a family counseling center serving children as young as four through adulthood. Our services include individual counseling, couples counseling, family therapy, and group therapy. In addition to general mental health care, we offer specialized, integrated treatment for eating disorders, addiction recovery, ADHD, and autism-informed counseling.
Our space is intentionally designed to feel calm, welcoming, and grounding. We want this to be a place where you can exhale — where therapy feels supportive, human, and aligned with who you are.

How Therapy Works Here
Therapy at Beyond the Mirror Counseling & Wellness is collaborative, flexible, and relationship-centered. Healing happens through connection — connection to yourself, to others, and to a sense of safety in the present moment.
Your therapist will work with you to clarify goals, explore relevant history, and understand what support looks like for you or your family. Sessions may include talk therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based approaches, somatic practices, emotional regulation skills, and relational work, depending on your needs.
We recognize that progress looks different for everyone. Therapy is not about fixing or forcing change. It is about building awareness, capacity, and choice so you can move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.
Whether you are seeking counseling for yourself, your child, your family, or a relationship, our team is here to walk alongside you with care, clinical expertise, and respect for where you are right now.
Therapy unfolds at your pace, guided by trust, curiosity, and care.
