Hi, I'm Katie

“The human soul doesn’t want to be advised or fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed

— to be seen, heard and companioned exactly as it is.” -Parker Palmer

I believe the role of a counselor is to be a witness to you and all that you are carrying- to sit alongside you as you explore your experiences and emotions, and to provide a gentle place for you to navigate what comes next. My approach centers on building safety, trust, collaboration, and creating a space that is free from judgement. Therapy is a place where you should feel safe, affirmed, and seen for all that you are.

I work with individuals and couples and specialize in working with survivors of trauma and interpersonal violence. I also work with people experiencing distress in their personal

relationships and those who need support navigating anxiety, depression, negative self-image, grief, and struggles with trust. My approach to therapy is to help people identify, understand, and

process their emotions, get to the root of what is causing distress, and to build new patterns and skills to navigate life's challenges. I work with people across the lifespan with diverse, multicultural, and LGBTQIA+ identities. I value exploring the impact of trauma and various life

experiences, including how these experiences shape identity, relationships, and self-expression. I practice Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and utilize narrative and interpersonal

approaches.

Katie earned a Master of Social Work degree with a Certificate in Advanced Clinical Behavioral Health from Colorado State University. Prior to becoming a therapist, Katie spent over 16 years working as a victim advocate, providing acute and long-term support to survivors and their family members and loved ones. Outside of work, Katie enjoys reading, yoga, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

A Space to Be Seen

There is nothing you need to prepare before coming into this space.

You do not need to have the right words, a clear story, or a plan for where to begin. What matters is that you show up as you are. Together, we will gently make sense of what feels tangled, overwhelming, or hard to name.

Katie’s presence is grounded in steadiness and care. She holds space in a way that allows you to move at your own pace, honoring both what is ready to be explored and what may need more time. This work is not about rushing toward change, but about creating the safety needed for insight, healing, and new patterns to emerge naturally.

Over time, many clients begin to feel more connected to themselves, more trusting in their relationships, and more able to navigate life with clarity and intention.
